See what our students and partners are saying about our Digital Storytelling Programs.

During my years of schooling I have had a lot of chances to learn from my mentors and teachers. I have sat in classrooms and listened to countless lectures. In this time however I have never had the chance to assist a teacher in their work. My time helping Kanani and Travis have allowed me to not only expand my horizons into furthering my film making abilities, but also learning how to manage a classroom and help to mold my peers. The environment that Kanani and Travis create is uplifting, redeeming and open to change. I am extremely grateful that Travis and Kanani for giving me the opportunity to participate in my own education.

Jim was a very accommodating captain. I felt like everything happened very smoothly and with precision. I would highly recommend this crew and yacht. Jess was amazing with food, the boat was always very clean, overall a great experience. Would go again.

I appreciate the final work products - but I really appreciated the process. This was really where the group skills, roles, individual strengths really had to ‘show up’ during this internship.

To have enjoyed this extraordinary natural beauty aboard VSSL was both a treat and a privilege. She is a beautiful and exceedingly well-appointed yacht, solidly built, supremely comfortable above and below decks, and — perhaps most importantly — very well maintained. At the end of the day, however, a boat is just fiberglass, wood, plexiglass, engines, electronics, and other systems. It is the Skipper and the First Mate who transformed our charter into a dream vacation.

It is what I would call a solid 4.5 star experience. In other words, I give it a 9 out of 10.
